Dr. Ballentine Carter, From Johns Hopkins and Chair of the AUA screening guidelines panel explains why they made the recommendations they did. Carter notes that the AUA is NOT saying baseline testing is not beneficial for younger men (40-55). He states that education was very important. Shared decision making and risk assessment should be discussed between the patient and the physician.
