The members of the National Clinical Trials Network have raised concerns to the National Cancer institute that 40% budget cuts will deny patients access to clinical trials and set research back for quite some time. My Committees at SWOg and at ASCO are very concerned. This mostly affects the community participation and not so much the universities and major players in trial development. But the community involvement is very important and the Federal budget is not heeding our voices.
