As a question was raised about what a surgical report is I have attached mine here for others to reference. Feel free to have a look. No secrets here I have always been open about my case and this site allows me to share better than other forum engines. Basic facts: My surgery was in February 2007 I had advanced disease (pT3b with positive apical margins and bilateral seminal vesicle invasion.) My post op Gleason was 4+3=7 I was referred for more treatment and have done well. I have a 7 year remission. My Surgical is named Wilson Post-Op.pdf There is a second report attached. Zommick Report.pdf is my biopsy pathology report. You can contrast the two documents to see how my Gleason was migrated from 3+4 to 4+3

Worth noting my post operation pathology was also included in that document. As were by blood panels and release notes.

Just came through the worm hole into the group from the other that's not healing me too much. I'm a little older now and thus the new number after the initials. Your report brings back the memories of that terrible day when I went from T1c with plenty of time to T3a with little time and the surgeon's statement--"thank G-d we got it when we did." The concept seemed easier than the reality.
Thanks for starting this group! I hope I can add something of meaning. I'll try to get to the bio and picture soon.

I have somewhat similar story -little less PSA and higher Gleason score but with DiVinci robot assisted RP and adjuvant IMRT and Lupron ADT I have undetectable PSA . Hopefully this will be enduring as Tony's . James

Welcome aboard Alan, Thank you for stopping in. We're a bit of a different setting than HealingWell but everyone is welcome. This is a sharing site as well and I posted my information freely to let everyone see these types of papers. Many patients never see their reports and don't know to ask for them. I reviewed them that past weekend and it was a flashback. I remember that surgical pathology on line H and it scare the hell out of me. But my story went a different direction than my wife and I predicted. A durable remission seven years after surgery, radiation and hormonal therapies.
I received a lot of education along the way and I am excited to be able to have a place to share it. I had some wonderful folks come along for the ride and I believe that anyone who wants to help can help just by sharing. And you did that and I am very humbled to have the members here that I do.
I will continue posting from my affiliated organizations. I am an ASCO, AUA, and SWOG member and these folks are doing their best to help men live longer and to help men improve their lives after diagnosis. Serving on panels at those places has given me access to some great physicians that have stated they will help in any way they can. Stay tuned on that. We have not started an active advertising campaign but already we are showing up on the search engines and I expect this to continue growing.
7+ years and count, Alan. And I am a very lucky man. Thank you for stopping in.

As I said before, James, this stuff scare the crap out of my wife and I. But reflection shows that information can be valuable to others that went through or are going through this hell.
Stay well and thank you for your story. It too is valuable to others.
