I just received a return email from several researchers and fellow ASCO colleagues and they are willing to help us out here. I am looking to have a 12 member Scientific Review Board and I already have six that will accept. This is great for Q&A with the professionals. I'm not sure how to integrate physicians into discussions but that a good problem to solve. I may develop a new sub category for interaction but we'll have to wait and see what is best. Stay tuned.

Tony, integrating physicians into discussions is certainly an interesting but exciting challenge! SC

It is a great opportunity but it's important to remember that the purpose is to make PCa smart guys smarter. Not for case by case medical advice. It won'twork if everyone is looking for online medical advice. We can't do that. Having access to physicians to address the information to deliver to patients is more in my vision. Not to eliminate the personal touch. But asking in hypotheticals is best.
For example:
"I understand the CHAARTED study is geared for the advanced metastatic patients whom are just starting out in their journeys. Does it shed light on a patient with early advanced metastasis whom has achieved a remission through HT? Would it work for that patient to begin chemo during that remission?"
It will be tough to manage if patients are seeking anecdotal information so presenting a patient class is a better approach. This will answer your question while delivering the ability for you to answer that question for other patients. It's the approach I use when working with these wonderful professionals and it will help us all become stronger for others. This is in the spirit of why I am doing this website.
After the SRB is assembled I will meet with them and ask them what they would like to see. The reason for that board is to help guide the direction and vision of this website.
