RSS stands for Rich Site Summary.
What it is is a protocol that allows Android, iPhone, PC's iPADs, etc. to get a live feed of the posting. This can help ask a question and have that question hit the members immediately. Members must log in to reply but this feature allows for us to push information to each other.
In Android and iPhone you need to download an RSS Reader. You can do so at the respective products "stores" and they are free.

Also note...
The RSS feed simply allows for free monitoring. Proboards, the site owner here, also has an APP to monitor the board but it isn't free. I paid $ 2.99 for the app. It's a one time charge and it allows for a nice live monitoring application with full interaction in your smart device. If you'd like to get it just search "Proboards" in your device store.
