Today many things are used by physicians to help the quality of life while administering conventional care. Sometimes it's a supplement, a recommendation for music, exercise, diet, many different things.
When I started out with my cancer treatment I got a new dog. A rescue puppy. Man that really lifted my spirits. Mr. Blackie, or Mr. B. as I called him, died yesterday. A sudden illness started last week and then really taking a downturn over the past weekend ~ ended yesterday as nothing was working and he kept deteriorating. He was only 7 years old so we are totally stunned. We had added another dog to keep him company, Shelby, and she is fine. We have absolutely no idea what just happened but my #1 CAM is gone.
I imagine that we will get a friend for her, but I had to skip this weeks Fall Session for SWOG as I was just not up for it. I will attend sessions via teleconference from my home but it will be with a sore heart.
